We provide exceptional facilities for a range of highly qualified independent Dermatologists. At the practice the Dermatologist are assisted by the wonderful front desk staff and a team of highly compassionate Registered Nurses.
The Dermatologists are not employed by Northern Beaches Dermatology.
The Independent Dermatologists are responsible for the medical decisions and the surgical care they provide to their patients
Dermatologist - Principal

Dr Roland Nguyen studied medicine at the University of Sydney and graduated with honours in 1997. He completed Master of Medical Science at the University of Queensland in 2002 through skin cancer research affiliated with the Queensland Institute of Medical Research. He has Fellowship with the Australasian College of Dermatologists since 2007 and International Membership with the American Academy of Dermatology since 2011.
Dr Nguyen is an experienced dermatologist with particular interests in procedural dermatology including skin cancer surgery, scar revision and laser treatments. He also manages medical dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss and nail disorders. He supervises training of trainee dermatologists at the Skin Hospital (Darlinghurst). He also performs skin surgery at Chatswood Private Hospital.
Dr Roland Nguyen is the principal dermatologist at Northern Beaches Dermatology, Dermatology Specialist Clinics and Cabramatta Professional Centre. He enjoys swimming, walking and cycling in his spare time.

Dr Sue Sinclair is an independent consulting dermatologist. Dr Sinclair graduated from Sydney University in 1980. She has worked as a Paediatric Registrar at the Children’s Hospital Westmead and as a Fellow in Paediatric Dermatology. Dr Sinclair spent two years of her dermatology training in the UK. She was awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1992.
Dr Sinclair holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her particular interests in dermatology include paediatrics and the treatment of sun damage.

Dr Clare Koh is a trained Dermatologist and is interested in the diagnosis and management of all aspects of diseases of the skin including the diagnosis and management of skin cancer.
Dr Clare Koh specialises in General Dermatology as well as Laser and Light Therapies. She is based at The Skin Hospital, Westmead.
Dr Clare Koh graduated with honors from the University of Sydney in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Dr Koh began clinical Dermatology training in 2011 and received fellowship with the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2015.
Dr Koh is interested in the diagnosis and management of all aspects of diseases of the skin including the diagnosis and management of skin cancer.
Consultant Dermatologist – Independent Associate

Rod started his journey with an appointment at RNSH, Gosford Hospital, Wollongong. He then completed his Dip Obs at Crown Street Women’s Hospital. He worked as a General Practioner for 15 years in Umina Beach, Rylstone and Woolgoogla.
Rod has also worked at the Westmead Children’s and Adult Hospitals; RPAH; Newcastle Hospital; The Skin and Cancer Foundation, Darlinghurst and Westmead
Rod has practiced as a Dermatologist since graduating 2003, in various private practices. He was Medical Director at The Skin and Cancer Foundation for 10 years. He has/is providing a monthly outreach dermatology service in Coffs Harbour for the last 22 years. He has been involved in, and still is, the training and supervision of dermatology registrars, GPs; and medical students
Currently Rod works at Northern Beaches Dermatology, Mona Vale and at Coffs Harbour Outreach Dermatology Clinic.
Rod grew up on the Northern Beaches in Harbord. He is married, with 3 adult children, and two beautiful grandchildren. He loves the water, sailing, swimming etc. I like to spend time with family especially my grandkids. I like to travel, and I enjoy snow skiing.
Rod is a very experienced dermatologist both medically and surgically. He will very rarely see any conditions that he has not previously dealt with.
Consultant Dermatologist & Mohs Surgeon – Independent Associate

Dr Matthew Lin is a dermatologist specialising in skin cancer management, Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and the American College of Mohs is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr Lin completed fellowship training in Mohs surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York where he was appointed to the hospital faculty. While working in New York, he performed a high volume of complex procedures, working with world authorities in Mohs surgery.
Dr Lin is actively involved in clinical and translational research and has received multiple grants for his academic work. His current research is focused on improving the patient experience with Mohs surgery. Dr Lin currently supervises training doctors at The Skin Hospital and The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He is a Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sydney.

Dr Maria Jones-Caballero is a highly skilled and experienced Dermatologist based in Liverpool, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She is a specialist in diagnosing and treating disorders of the skin, hair, and nails. Dr Jones-Caballero is particularly interested in general and paediatric dermatology, skin cancers, and women’s dermatology.
Dr Jones-Caballero obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1988. She went on to complete her Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2008.
Her extensive medical training and qualifications have equipped her with the knowledge and expertise required to provide comprehensive dermatological care to patients of all ages.
Dr Jones-Caballero is a dedicated professional committed to delivering the highest standard of care to her patients. With her deep understanding of dermatological conditions and their impact on individuals, she employs a patient-centered approach and tailors her treatments to meet the unique needs and concerns of each individual.
In addition to English, Dr Jones-Caballero is fluent in French and Spanish, which allows her to effectively communicate with a broader range of patients.

Dr Kanika Sahni completed her MBBS from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and subsequently trained to be a specialist in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh India in 2009 where she was awarded the gold medal. She has more than 15 years of experience after completing her specialist training.
She is board certified by the College of Dermatologists in India since 2009 and has trained extensively overseas and in Australia. She is also a very skilled dermatosurgeon, presenting her innovations and sharing her experience as an invited speaker at various national and international conferences.
She is a recipient of several awards and honors and is a keen researcher. She is one the editorial board of various journals and is Content Editor for IJDVL. She has been a faculty (currently Additional Professor) at the AIIMS, New Delhi for over ten years before she joined the Northern Beaches Dermatology, Mona Vale as a Dermatology Fellow.
With a vast experience in Dermatology, she has a special expertise in Dermatosurgery, cosmetic dermatology and Pigmentary disorders including vitiligo. In fact she is the founder Secretary of the Vitiligo Foundation of India, which is a not for profit organisation for vitiligo.
She is competent at diagnosing and treating all skin diseases including psoriasis, eczema, acne, vitiligo and pigmentary disorders, hair disorders, autoimmune diseases, infections and immunobullous dermatoses in both adults and children. Dr Sahni is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
